For most of us, the first cup of coffee in the morning is an essential ritual. It helps kick-start our day, wakes us up and gives the house that lovely smell of the promise of a new day ahead. But not every coffee is the same. Different producers from different countries provide an overwhelming choice. But how to avoid a disappointment during that first beautiful moment of the day?

At Gourmet Gateway, we believe that life is too short to not enjoy every meal and drink you have. Therefore we have tried and tested our fair share of coffees to find a product we genuinely believe in. After all, the best is just about good enough for a true foodie, right? And Julius Meinl’s coffees are definitely among the best!

It is a company with a history. Back in 1862, Austrian entrepreneur Julius Meinl opened a shop in Vienna, selling coffee and spices. His son continued running the business – and proceeded to develop a whole new method of roasting the beans, which prevented them from coming into contact with coal gases. The unpleasant aftertaste of coffee was gone, and Meinl became the largest importer of coffee and tea in Central Europe. Famous personalities like the painter Gustav Klimt and psychiatrist Sigmund Freud were soon regular guests of coffee houses that served Meinl coffee.

But its long and amazing history is not the only reason we love Julius Meinl coffee, because, at the end of the day, it comes down to the taste. At Julius Meinl, over 150 years of experience in coffee roasting mean a truly perfect process for every kind of product: light roast for filter coffees, creating an intense aroma with a higher acidity; medium roast for Viennese coffee specialties, bringing out more of the bean subtleties and making it slightly less acidic; and dark roast, resulting in an intense, strongly caramelized espresso.

With the wide product range, Julius Meinl have you covered, no matter if you are the efficient espresso type or the relaxed fan of a big pot of filter coffee. Or try something new, like a coffee cake or an iced coffee drink.

You can choose from a wide variety of Julius Meinl products at /julius-meinl-coffee/. We will deliver your order within 24 hours (conditions apply), so you will never run out of one of the most beautiful things on this planet – coffee!
